If you are on your journey back in time, then perhaps there is no better place to choose for a walk through the Badlands National Park in South Dakota. Here centuries of wind and water eroded a deep canyon, where dinosaurs once moved millions of years ago and which the scholars of today enjoy some of the largest fossil deposits in the world, including the remains of saber-toothed tigers , three horses toes and turtles old.

Close to the picnic in a ConataPage Revel like a pig, remains active today announced that scientists have discovered the bones of a large hornless rhinoceros known as Subhyracodon, and if you’re lucky, you might be able to speak with one of the paleontologists, as you walk through the area.

Not all of the Badlands National Park is a barren moonscape and the park as well as about 64,000 acres of desert green wild sheep and buffalo roamed the American and the headquarters of the rapidFox ferrets and black feet, among many other creatures. You also see deer and antelope around this part of the park.

Migrate within the 240,000 hectare park is a popular activity with courses ranging from very light hiking trails for the beginner up to the challenge even experienced hikers. But whatever your level of experience, the end result of getting to the jagged peaks and views of the plains below areworth giving in order to arrive.

A fascinating area that deserves a visit to the neighborhood stronghold, of which half is in the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. During the Second World War this area was used as a shooting range and this section of the park is now home to the Minuteman Missile National Historic Site, where we look at buildings that once housed one of America’s defense systems, and more important.

For thirty years during the Cold War, theseThe plants have been around the clock, and today are home to a fascinating museum, where a plant still in control and an underground launching silos can completely disarm a nuclear missile now see.

Another unique feature of the Badlands National Park is home to the settlers built sod blocks and heated by buffalo chips. Although the time of the great Dust Bowl in 1930 finally drove the settlers out of the country, much of the evidence of the braveThe fight that made many years ago, remains today.

Badlands National Park is a wonderful place to hike with their colors and golden sandy beaches and the blue sky and offers many opportunities for hikers and Avid amateurs alike.

We flew from Livingstone to Mfuwe via Lusaka, where we were met by our guide from Mfuwe Lodge and transferred for one hour to the lodge. The drive was really interesting as it travels through a number of villages, so there is lots going on and lots of people out walking along the road. On arrival at the lodge we checked into our room and went straight out on our 4.30 pm night drive, didn’t return until 8pm. A big part of it is done in the dark with a spotter and a spotlight.

The next day, we were off on another early morning game drive. South Luangwa National Park is known for it abundant game and we certainly didn’t have to drive very far to see animals. We saw zebra here which is something we hadn’t see so far in the wild. Another day spent by the pool before our night game drive.

While at South Luangwa we decided to go on a game walk. We walked straight out from the lodge and across the dry river bed that was directly in front of the lodge. We then frightened a hippo and quickly retreated as he looked quite scary and we thought it best not to upset him. Saw a reasonably big herd of elephant and was amazed at how quiet they are while they are walking.

It was an enjoyable walk but quite different to the walks we had done in the Okavango Delta as the terrain was quite different. We also learnt a lot about all the local flora and fauna which was very interesting.

On our evening game drive we found 10 lionesses lazing on the banks of a dry river bed and another male and two females next to the river. Saw a huge buffalo herd but as it was very dark when we saw them we could really only see the reflection from their eyes, it would’ve been amazing to have seen the whole herd during the daylight as there was easily 250 of them. On the way back to the lodge we saw our one and only leopard in this park, he was lying next to some bushes not far from the road.

Milford is a fjord located in the south island of New Zealand, where we see a scene of immense beauty that some have dubbed the eighth wonder of the world. Located in Fiordland National Park, a remote area of 1,200,000 hectares which houses wonders of nature as the second highest waterfall in the world. In its forests and streams have been found animals (such as the Takahe, a rare bird) that were believed to try and put.

Visiting the area is a relatively simple task that allows venture into a world almost untouched. Reached by boat from Queensland and when you get there before it absolutely no sign to distinguish the passage of man in these parts. Water, pure forest and wildlife is what we find.
