Green Lake Trek

Green Lake trek is one of the outstanding and most adventurous treks in Sikkim. It is at the base of the Mountain Kanchenjunga. Green Lakes doesn’t mean there is a lake, but one will see unbelievable stretch of green frozen glacier, which is known by the name Zemu Glacier. This glacier is almost 1 km wide and 26 km long, making it the longest glacier in Sikkim.

This trek is close to the Tibetan border. Known as a trekker’s paradise, the Green Lake Trek is one of the least explored areas of the Sikkim region. It is a very pictorial trek that has spectacular views of high peaks. The glacial snow peaks surround the region as one traverse through the valleys. The trek to the Green Lake requires walking through sludge and slimy paths – but the reward is just stunning. The mountain views are implausible with an arena of peaks with Kanchenjunga Mountain at the head of the valley. more…

Great Wall of China : Chinese Empire Fortress

The Great Wall of China is a series of stone and earthen fortifications in northern China, built, rebuilt, and maintained between the 5th century BC and the 16th century to protect the northern borders of the Chinese Empire from Xiongnu attacks during various successive dynasties. Since the 5th century BC, several walls have been built that were referred to as the Great Wall. One of the most famous is the wall built between 220–206 BC by the first Emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang. Little of that wall remains; the majority of the existing wall were built during the Ming Dynasty.

The arrival at the airport: The first contact with Tokyo

For starters they are 15 hours of flight, and arrive at Narita Airport, which is on the shores of Tokyo. There you can do two things, catch a train that takes hours and costs 5000yen, type $ 500 AUD, or catch a bus “friendly Limousine” that take you to the different districts of Tokyo and it costs 3000yen, $ 300MXN. My recommendation is the bus, because this way you will be seeing the whole city, however the train will be nearly impossible.
