Bora Bora is becoming one of those exotic paradise where travel for a honeymoon. Bora Bora is located about 200 miles northwest of Tahiti, and about 3000 km south of Hawaii. Its discovery dates back to 1722, and is considered by many the most beautiful island in the world.

Its former name suggests the original inhabitants of the island (Vava’us) reached 7 million a few years from Tonga. A curious fact is that in the local Tahitian language there is no letter “B” and everybody calls the place Pora Pora, meaning first born.

Bora Bora, an outgrowth of a large volcano that is now covered by a crystal clear lagoon. Bora Bora and other nearby islands are completely surrounded by coral reefs. Its beaches, its beauty, and the reason that mass tourism has not yet reached the hidden paradise of French Polynesia, Bora Bora make an incredible destination.

I extend a little information to Travel to Bora Bora, and the spectacular video that shows some of the best prospects for the island.
