Route 66, travel from coast to coast of the United States was until relatively recently, mythic journey, an adventure drive through allowing U.S. and know a great number of States touring unforgettable landscapes.
Major highways are being built, improvements in communication by rail and especially domestic flights have wasted a lot of glamor to one of the stars makes time travel.

But What is Route 66?. Route 66 is a highway that was begun in 1926 to unite the scattered lands of the western United States with the East. It was not until 1938 when I finish Route 66. Before that cross the country from coast to coast was extremely complicated. Before 1867, the railroad was quicker and easier to navigate to the southern tip of South America and back.

Route 66 began its journey in Chicago (See hotels in Chicago) (Lake Michigan), across Illinois, Missouri and Kansas to get to Oklahoma, where it turned to cross Texas, New Mexico and Arizona to end in California. The final destination was in the Plasy of Santa Monica in Los Angeles. In total 4000 kilometers long.
Route 66, was one of the major drivers of the American economy during those years, since its path is built numerous service stations, gas stations and hotels that helped the country economically.
Route 66 has been replaced by new modern highway, but there are still stretches of intact legs of what was the original Route 66. Arizona and California are the states that retain the major sections of the original layout.
